Digital Marketing Manager

Working within the scope of The Works’ multichannel strategic pillars, you will be responsible for developing and implementing digital marketing activity with a focus on driving profitable traffic to the website to achieve our aggressive growth targets. The role will require you to work closely with our dedicated agency partners for Paid Search, Affiliates, Display and Organic Search.


  • Actively managing external exposure of promotions, ranges and key lines across multiple digital channels, including Paid Search, Affiliates, Display and Organic Search.
  • Coordinating activities, budgets and join with Email and Social Media marketing team
  • Deliver traffic to achieve top level KPIs, particularly sessions and CPA, with an understanding of the wider marketing mix to achieve relevant levels of upper and lower funnel traffic
  • Manage and performance manage third party agencies including Search and Affiliates
  • Be responsible for the digital marketing budget, measuring spend and ROI to ensure profitable growth.
  • Identify trends and insights to optimise performance.
  • Highlight opportunities to help improve reach and conversions, including range expansion, price opportunities and feed improvements.
  • Create business cases for new opportunities and engage key stakeholders; assess new technologies and, where appropriate, provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly reporting and analysis of campaign performance against targets and report back to the team / wider business.
  • Understand key events for the business and help target potential audiences in advance to help exploit opportunities, with a focus on ROI.
  • Work with the Retail Marketing team to help exploit in-store opportunities to improve product awareness and footfall.
  • Over time work with the business to develop and build brand equity – accurately positioning The Works in the minds of current, new and potential customers through new and existing brand USPs.

Personal Specification:

  • 3-5 years digital marketing experience required
  • Experience of working with agencies
  • Target and results driven
  • Retail/digital experience essential
  • Multichannel experience advantageous
  • Effective communicator at all levels
  • Self-starter and able to work effectively and efficiently with minimal direction
  • Is educated to degree level or equivalent in a marketing related field
