The short bit "About the Role"

A new and exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Digital Analytics Manager to join TheWorks.co.uk where you will lead on all digital insights and reporting across a vast & expanding digital estate, and present findings and recommendations to multiple stakeholders in the business to drive performance.

You will be a proficient user of digital analytics suites who is comfortable relaying findings back to digital teams to improve end-to-end digital performance.

Some of the key responsibilities you will need to undertake.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital analytical framework using a data first approach on digital insights, data storytelling, measurement, research and overall strategy.
  • Support financial planning processes (in year performance, financial forecasts, budgets and P&L) in a collaborative manner seeking input and engaging Finance teams as required
  • Provide detailed customer first insights, enabling senior stakeholders to make informed decisions on a variety of matters such as digital sales and marketing performance, website optimisation, projects and strategies.
  • Understand business priorities and challenges and conduct advanced BAU and project analytics, provide insights to complex relationships, trends, and data patterns to support the ongoing needs of the business.
  • Surface actionable insights regarding visitor pain points on TheWorks.co.uk website including broken journeys using digital data solutions for remedial action
  • Weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI tracking to diagnose onsite customer journey and identifying where improvements can be made.
  • Promote Digital measurement and analytical best practice to deliver the commercial plans for all Digital channels
  • Work closely with digital marketing team and agencies to set up Omnichannel Campaign effectiveness insights and attribution modelling.
  • Review Digital marketing channels performance and where improvements need to be made through Optimisation Analysis for a better ROI.
  • Manage optimisation of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Salesforce Reporting and other internal reporting systems.
  • Ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose, working with IT, developers and 3rd Parties to configure, test and update configurations
  • Be the subject expert in digital analytics, be able to provide answers to ad Hoc questions and be a coach for others to learn how to use dashboards and access reports.
  • Day to day interaction with the digital team workload and support of team members to help them achieve their objectives and successfully deliver digital activity to the business

The bits we are looking for in you

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with proven ability to provide actionable insight from multiple data sets
  • Extensive experience in digital analytics from a reporting & insights perspective using various digital analytics suites
  • Solid understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation from using various data points to create hypotheses and conducting deep dive post-test analysis.
  • Advanced working knowledge of SQL and the ability to extract and manipulate data from large, complex datasets - data mining using ETL, data warehouses, and MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of customer experience and behaviour online.
  • Understanding of online conversion funnel including path to purchase and customer journeys.
  • Digital measurement experience, including and the deployment of attribution modelling, ROI.
  • Confident communicator, you will be the trailblazer for data driven decisions and be able to explain complicated terminology in simple terms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are essential, along with an ability to manage a varied workload and work to tight deadlines.
  • Inquisitive by nature, you will need to be able to solve problems and have a passion for data.
  • Experience with digital analytics, using a variety of tools Google Tag Manager, Google BigQuery, Qlik
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong HTML & JavaScript knowledge and practical experience
