Head Office/Support Centre

Business Analyst – Buying & Merchandising

Location
1 day in the office per week (Potential to be less)

Become a Business Analyst

In this role, you'll be all about making things better! You'll team up with our Buying and Merchandising teams to figure out what changes will help us to run smoother. Then, you'll chat with our project and development teams to put those ideas into action. Your mission? Finding cool systems and processes that'll jazz up how Buying and Merchandising does its thing.

We're all about adding value and making sure our projects hit the bullseye. Plus, you'll make sure stakeholders at The Works are on the same page and giving a thumbs-up to the plans.

Our Culture

The Works is an awesome place to… well, work! Our atmosphere is supportive, friendly, and inclusive. A second home-from-home where you can be your best and authentic you

Our environment is always moving and full of energy. Yet we still make space to share must-watch TV recommendations and our favourite page-turners. Because even superheroes need some downtime to fuel their imaginations!

Your Mission

  • Process and UX Journey Mapping

We're diving into Process and UX Journey Mapping, where you team up with the business to create process maps and user journeys. You'll look at what's super valuable and what's not-so-great in our current setup, and you'll figure out how to make it better. This means you'll dig into how data moves around and how users feel about our systems.

  • Facilitating Workshops and Delivering Presentations

We're all about getting people together and making things happen. You'll lead fun workshops with different teams, whether it's to brainstorm ideas or tackle a tricky problem. Your job? Keep the meetings on track and make sure everyone leaves knowing what's what. When it's time to share info, your presentations will be spot-on.

  • Knowledge Management

We're all about keeping our knowledge in one spot and passing it along smoothly from project to everyday operations. That means you'll be working with Confluence, our central WIKI, to create knowledge entries. You'll also create some handy handover docs for our services and show the business how things work through great demos.

  • Requirements Gathering

You’ll use different techniques and tricks to figure out what's what. Once we've got the details, you'll turn it into cool documents like User Stories, Process Maps, and presentations. After all that, you'll team up with the stakeholders and pitch your ideas. Once everyone's on board, we'll pass the baton to the development team.
