The bit "About the Role"

As the Account Supervisor you will be able to lead, support and nurture the 3 accounts administrators in accurately completing all cash processing tasks. The cash team is an integral part of the finance function, working with all departments in the business. You will be key in identifying areas to improve, streamline and strengthen, both within the immediate team, and in the wider business. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop with the team and the business.

  • Supervise and coach the accounts administrators as they develop in their studies and roles.
  • Supervise and review all aspects of daily and monthly cash management including a daily breakdown of cash, posting of cash book, credit card analysis, cash flow forecasting and reviews of cash discrepancies reports.
  • Work alongside the retail operations team to monitor and review store floats levels.
  • Liaise with key external cash and banking contacts and build great relationships to support the business.
  • Responsible for compiling UK and VAT returns and Irish Intrastat; keep abreast of changes in legislation, and apply your knowledge to improve existing processes.
  • Responsibility for all cash and bank related month end journals and reconciliations. Proactively investigating variances and correcting errors
  • Take an active role in identifying risks and implementing controls.
  • Budgets & forecasts.
  • Involvement in year-end audit requests and liaising with auditors. Proactively collating information through the year.
  • Presenting to and training new branch managers in cash processes.
  • Raise invoices for B2B customers & landlords.
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary as the role, team and business develops.

  • Comfortable with remote learning, working and supervising.
  • Strong organisational skills, flexible and able to adapt quickly to change, if not suggest the changes that are needed.
  • Confident and professional manner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to all levels on all platforms.
  • Able to prioritise and reprioritise, understanding the wider impact of actions.
  • A willingness to learn from, and share knowledge and experience with others.
